Description: Water operators will explore water treatment for surface facilities. Operators will be introduced to the concepts, treatment components, process control, and troubleshooting related to the major components of a typical surface water treatment plant.  Coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration will be covered in detail, including the “optimization goals” of each process.  Instruction and practice in solving typical operational and mathematical problems associated with these treatment functions will also be included.
