Description: Water and wastewater operators working at heights must have a good understanding of the requirements of OSHA’s fall protection standard. Participants will be introduced to fall protection principles and codes including fall protection systems and methodology. Class topics include the requirements for safe work practices in use of vertical ladders, working from elevated work platforms and the selection of on-site fall protection. The use and the limits of fall arrest systems with the benefits of positioning devices to prevent falls.
